Creatives: Shai Lagarde
Shai graduated on a full scholarship at the Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Communications. By day, she works as the Corporate Communications Manager of a publicly traded firm engaged in real estate development, energy, and agribusiness. The rest of her time is divided among school (taking up family counseling, music and arts classes), motivational speaking (on youth issues), and freelancing (as a writer, editor, video producer and fashion stylist).
Her career in media and fashion has spanned 11 years, produce content for publications (Philippine Daily Inquirer, Candy, CHALK and Meg), television (Etcetera, Project Runway Philippines and programs under GMA News and Public Affairs) and web (among them Belle De Jour’s ilovebdj.com and bdjbox.com) as a passion. She has been conceptualizing, styling, and writing all content for Love Chic since its launch in March 2010. The blog has been featured on various TV shows, websites, and magazines here and abroad, and has collaborated with major fashion and lifestyle brands locally and internationally.
Operations: Anton Holmes
Anton finished his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering at the De La Salle University – Manila, where he currently teaches Discrete Event Simulation, Engineering Economy, and Cleaner Production. He has managed, worked with, and consulted for a number of projects in a wide range of industries, from manufacturing, retail, food service, health care, NGOs and foreign aid agencies.
As a scholar of Engineering Research and Development for Technology, he has presented his research on public policy and disaster management, most notably the United Nations Center for Regional Development and the Asia-Pacific System Dynamics Conference in Tokyo, Japan. He also enjoys dabbling in financial analysis and stock trading. He is an avid baseball player, having played for both the UAAP Juniors team in De La Salle Zobel School and the DLSU Green Batters. A frustrated journalist, he channeled his love for all things sports into a writing stint for New York-based Wika magazine and his love for photography into the photos on this blog.
